Programs: Pedagogy

The Course will consider the prescribed syllabus as the base on which the course content would be enhanced and built up. The Course would attempt encouraging students to evolve individual, creative yet pragmatic thought process. Graduating Architects would be aware Professionals, open to the Physical and Social Environment. Critical and analytical issues would eventually lead to a committed design and a built form.

The course will be predominantly based on interactive sessions, case-studies and live project participation with practicing architects, construction management groups, facility planners and managers in India and abroad. Continuous Interface with Architects, Designers, Builders, Developers and End Users would form one of the key components of the course leading to a holistic study of Design. History, Art, Technology and all allied studies would lead to Design.

The course is reviewed regularly in consultation with our Board of Studies, which comprises Leaders from Academics, Architectural Design Practice, Construction and Project Developer Industry and Policy Planners. Like all industries, this industry is continuously expanding and contracting its horizons with ever evolving strategies, tools and techniques. The Board anticipates and prepares participants to meet changing Industry requirements, understand and finally to mould the industry. It would neither be an industry driven course, nor it would force industry. It would act and evolve with the industry and practice. Sustaining a competitive edge in the changing scenario is the other key component of the course.
